LIFT: Learning in Faith Together

Adaptive Faith Formation

LIFT is an adaptive faith formation program for children and youth with special needs. Together as a community, children & youth, parents/guardians, and catechists encounter Jesus Christ while supporting and celebrating the uniqueness of each child and youth.

Who can participate in LIFT?

• LIFT is open to all children and youth ages 6-17 who would benefit from a specialized environment and adaptive approach to faith formation.
• Parents/caregivers are present during the gatherings to support their child and enjoy fellowship amongst each other.

How often does the program meet?

• LIFT gatherings are offered twice each month October through May, alternating between faith formation lessons and faith-focused social time. Please see the calendar below for our 2024-2025 dates.
• Children and youth can be paired with a catechist for one-on-one instruction, depending on what will best fit their needs.

Does this program include Sacramental Preparation?

• First Reconciliation and First Communion preparation is available for second grade children and older who have been baptized.
• Confirmation preparation is available for eighth grade children and older who have been baptized and have received First Communion.
• If your child has not been baptized and is 7 years old or older, he or she can be prepared to enter the Catholic Church and receive Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation.
