St. John Neumann and its leadership are committed to promoting a safe environment for everyone including children, youth, and vulnerable adults. All employees and adult volunteers who have either regular or unsupervised interactions with children, youth, or vulnerable adults must be in compliance with the Archdiocesan Safe Environment requirements (re-credentialing is required every three years) known as Essential 3. This entails submitting to a background check, signing a volunteer code of conduct, and completing safe environment training through VIRTUS. Training through VIRTUS is an awareness session in which adults are better equipped to protect children youth, and vulnerable adults in the world around them. Your understanding and attention to this subject helps to create and sustain a culture of safety in our parish community. Adult volunteers must be compliant with requirements before serving. All requirements are now handled online.
