FairTradeCarvingThe Just Marketplace ministry and annual Fair Trade sale strives to carry out the gospel values and Catholic Social Teachings of caring for the poor, providing dignity to workers and to stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters around the world by:

  1. Providing an alternative way to shop that encourages a direct beneficial relationship between producers and consumers
  2. Creating a greater understanding of global solidarity and generate cross cultural awareness
  3. Educating individuals on how purchases can impact economically disadvantaged producers and demonstrate how Fair Trade advances social justice.

Fair Trade: A commitment to Building Relationships

  • Promoting fair prices
  • Fostering safe working conditions
  • Creating cooperative work places
  • Providing just wages, credit and technical assistance
  • Environmental Stewardship
  • Long term relationships

FairTradeFederationWhen you purchase fair trade items at the St. John Neumann Fair Trade sale you are putting Catholic social teaching into action and helping to support a vision of economic justice. Click on the logo to the left to learn more about Fair Trade.
