Catholics are obliged to attend Mass on all Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation. The Holy Days of Obligation in the Archdiocese of St. Paul/Minneapolis are as follows:

January 1, the solemnity of Mary, Mother of God;
Seventh Sunday during the Easter Season, the solemnity of the Ascension;
August 15, the solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary;
November 1, the solemnity of All Saints;
December 8, the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception;
December 25, the solemnity of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

The bishops often make exceptions to the requirement to attend Mass on a particular feast, depending upon the day of the week on which the feast falls in a given year. For exact information on obligation and Mass times consult parish bulletins or call the parish.
