| Contribution to Parish Mission Statement |
| Preparation of adults and children for the celebrations of the sacrament of baptism begins a child's life-long education and growth in the Christian faith. |
| Description |
| Assist with check in at baptismal preparation and with the celebration process as scheduled. Meet 1-3 hours a quarter. Training provided. This ministry is open to all adults. |
| Responsibilities | |
- Take responsibility for specific tasks of the Baptismal process: welcoming parents, assisting with baptism liturgies, etc.
- Work collaboratively with clergy and team members to serve families celebrating Baptism.

| Qualifications |
| Hospitable, fond of infants and young children, organized and dependable, able to follow directions and work as a team member. Parent and comfortable with care of infants and young children. |

| One to three hours 4-5 times a year |

| Training |
| On the job training provided by Baptism Team Coordinator and other team members. |
| Responsible To |
| Baptism Team Leader, Pastoral Associate of Family Life and Sacramental Preparation.
Additional Requirements:Volunteers 13 & older in this ministry are required to attend a Prohibited Behaviors Orientation Class and complete a Background Screening Package. |
