| Through FMF, we respond to the call of Jesus to feed the hungry and welcome the stranger. FMF is a concrete way for SJN, as a parish, to live the values of the Kingdom of God. |
| Description |
| Sept 2011, January, May, & Sept 2012. Provide a hospitable setting at St. John Neumann for families who are homeless by helping with preparing, serving, and sharing an evening meal or organizing activities. FMF Date: May 2-9, 2010. Make sure your PBO requirements are completed 2 weeks before FMF weekend. |
| Responsibilities | |
- Provide a meal (includes shopping, cooking, eating with our guests, and cleaning up) for the families plus the other volunteers who work that evening.
- Serve as one of the overnight hosts (stay at SJN from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.) Put out a cold breakfast and clean up afterwards.
- Help host family and youth activities after dinner. Help in the nursery from 6:45 to 9:00 p.m. with staff. There are usually 5 to 7 children in the nursery.

| Qualifications |
| Compassion for families who are homeless and the ability to be non-judgmental when guests have values/background/culture/lifestyle different from your own. Confidentiality. PBO Training. |
| Time Commitment |
| Varies, but most of the ways you can help require 2 or 3 hours once a quarter. Our ministry is to provide hospitality at SJN during our host week of January 17-24, 2010. |
| Length of Commitment |
| Minimum commitment is 1 session. |
| Training |
| FMF Coordinators will provide training appropriate to each position. Ministry coordinators are available throughout the week for any volunteers who have questions. PBO MUST BE COMPLETED FOR NURSERY, OVERNIGHT HOSTING, YOUTH ACTIVITIES prior to signing up. |
