|Contribution to Parish Mission Statement|
|Through FMF, we respond to the call of Jesus to feed the hungry and welcome the stranger. FMF is a concrete way for SJN, as a parish, to live the values of the Kingdom of God. |
|Provide a hospitable setting at St. John Neumann for families who are
homeless by helping with any of the following: turning classrooms
into bedrooms, take-down, or laundry. |
- Set up bedrooms in the Parish Center on the Sunday afternoon our guests arrive.
- Take down bedrooms on the Sunday morning our guests leave.
- Help with the laundry (sheets and towels) at the end of the week and once in awhile mid-week as well.
|Excellent service opportunity for TCC, Small Christian Community, families, children, and teens wishing to engage in a critical support role for the ministry. |
|Varies, but most of the ways you can help require 2 or 3 hours once a quarter. Our ministry is to provide hospitality at SJN during our host weeks (January 17-24, 2010. May 2-9, 2010. October 10-17, 2010). |
|Length of Commitment|
|Minimum commitment is 1 session. |
|FMF Coordinators will provide training appropriate to each position. Ministry coordinators are available throughout the week for any volunteers who have questions. |
