Confirmation Retreat Daytime Chaperone
Contribution to Parish Mission Statement
Provide safe environment for Confirmation candidates as they grow in their relationship with God.
Description
Provide daytime adult presence during any of 4 weekend retreat(s). Retreats are January through March 2013. Must be 21 or older.
Responsibilities
Remain in vicinity of Confirmation candidates during retreat to provide adult presence. Take active role in retreat logistics as possible and as predetermined with retreat director and team.
Qualifications
Comfort with youth. Able to give direction gently yet firmly.
Time Commitment
One weekend; see Confirmation preparation schedule.
Length of Commitment
One weekend; see Confirmation preparation schedule.
Training
Discussion with program director and retreat director. Attendance at Retreat Team meetings.
Responsible To
Steve Grass, director of Confirmation Preparation. Steve Grass, director of Confirmation Retreats. Additional Requirements Volunteers 13 & older in this ministry are required to attend a Prohibited Behaviors Orientation Class and complete a Background Screening Package.
