Summer Stretch Team Member-Teen
Contribution to Parish Mission Statement
As a leader in the Summer Stretch Program you will contribute greatly to our parish Mission Statement. You will help create an atmosphere in which youth can gather, forging social bonds and sharing in their faith through discussions, service projects, and social activities.
Description
Lead youth who have completed 6th, 7th, or 8th Grade in a morning service project and fun activity in the afternoon.
Responsibilities 
  • Lead students in Scripture reflections and service activities(with other Team Members)
  • Implement and participate in games with the youth
  • Responsible for a particular task each Thursday (e.g. taking attendance, games)
  • Assist in chaperoning youth throughout the day
  • Be an example of Christ's love to the youth
  • Assist the program director in evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of the program
Qualifications
Ninth grade or older. Exhibit mature, moral, positive behavior at all times. Be present to the youth at all times. Patience. Ability to relate to and work with middle school students. A lot of energy. Willingness to share faith and lead small group discussions. Complete application by the stated deadline.
Time Commitment
Thursdays June - August from 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM. Training provided in June.

Attend St. John Neumann's Prohibited Behavior Orientation Policy class and complete screening package.
