High School Retreat Team Adult & Teen

Supporting the religious education of our youth is an integral part of our mission.” Retreat Team Members witness to God's presence and activity in their lives and facilitate an atmosphere for youth to experience God in their own lives.
Description
Assist with retreats for 9th grade youth. Retreats are 5 hours each, and each has one planning and training meeting. Team members lead small groups in discussion and activities, give witness talks, lead games, help with setup and cleanup, lead prayer, etc. Retreats are December 8 and February 2.
Responsibilities 
  • Assist with one or two high school retreats.
  • Choose at least one area of retreat planning: small group discussion leader, large group faith-sharing talks, game and/or free-time leader, song leader, prayer/worship leader, skit/drama participant.
  • Attend retreats, carry out responsibilities, and model Christian behavior, speech, and attitude.
Qualifications
Appropriate to selected area(s) of responsibility. Able to work with a team. Dependable and able to follow through with responsibilities. Flexible. Assertive with rules and expectations. Able to speak freely with youth and share personal stories and experiences. Complete application.
Time Commitment
One planning meeting per retreat. One or two retreats: December 8 and February 2.

Additional Requirements
Volunteers 13 & older in this ministry are required to attend a Prohibited Behaviors Orientation Class and complete a Background Screening Package.
