| The Giving Tree allows parishioners to live the values of the Kingdom as we respond in loving service to the needs of our local, regional, and global communities. |
| Description |
| Organize opportunities for parishioners to give gifts to people with limited resources or agencies that work on behalf of justice for those in need, at Christmas time (and other times during the year). |
| Responsibilities | |
- Help with planning, assembling, and decorating ornaments and trees
- Help with the staffing of tables on a Sunday when parishioners sign-up to provide gifts
- Help with sorting and delivery of gifts during Advent
|
| Qualifications |
| Giving tree planning - creativity; willingness to help assemble and decorate materials; willingness to help sort gifts. For those staffing tables, volunteers who enjoy interacting with people and answering questions. Delivery of gifts requires a car, driver's license, and insurance |

Giving tree planning/phone calling - October
Assembly of ornaments will vary-takes place one evening, usually mid-November for 2-3hrs.
Decorating Giving Trees & set up for sign-ups one evening, mid November
Giving tree sign-up - staffing tables 20 minutes before and after mass on Giving Tree weekends
Sorting of gifts one evening, 7-9pm after all gifts are brought in
Delivery of gifts - a couple of hours as needed after sorting. |
