Help build a Habitat house in the summer or fall for families with limited resources. Sixteen and 17 year olds welcome but must be accompanied by an adult family member.

Habitat Mission: To eliminate poverty housing in theTwin Cities and to make decent, affordable shelter for all people a matter of conscience.

Habitat Operating Principles:
Sell homes to our buyers for no profit.
Issue zero-percent interest mortgages to homeowners.
Require 300-400 sweat equity hours from home buyers.
Use volunteer labor to bring communities together.



2012 Habitat Build -  14817 Hampshire Ave So , Savage
SJN was one of 6 major sponsors for this build.  A major sponsor donates $6000.
14-16 volunteers worked on the site each day and 2-3 volunteers prepared and delivered fabulous snacks and lunches for the workers.

2013 Habitat Build -  dates will be announced in April. Those that have signed up for the Habitat Ministry will be contacted at that time.
