What is the Summer Sizzle? It is our summer parish festival. The Summer Sizzle is a wonderful opportunity to bring our entire community together for worship, food, socialization, and FUN! 

We hope that you and your family will not only plan on attending on August 4th and 5th, but we also hope that you will get involved.  Volunteers are critical to the success of the Summer Sizzle, as well as to our parish community.  There are many opportunties to help out with this year's event.  Click below to learn more and sign-up:

 The Summer Sizzle Raffle

The Summer Sizzle Raffle is a major fundraiser for our parish and we need your help!

 

Please pickup your household's raffle tickets (12 tickets, $5 each) in the gathering space to purchase or sell. Tickets will also be sold during the festival. 

 

Purchased or sold tickets can be mailed to the parish office, placed in the Sunday collection basket, or dropped off during the Summer Sizzle. If you would like additional tickets, stop in the parish office during their office hours. The raffle drawing will be held at the close of the festival on Sunday, August 5th at 4:00 pm in the Social Hall.

Bingo, Bingo, Bingo!

Grab your daubers or use ours.  Bingo will be played downstairs in the Large Group Rooms during our annual Summer Sizzle on Saturday, August 4th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, and on Sunday, August 5th from 11:30am to 3:30pm (twice the Bingo!). Bingo cards are $1 a piece (cash sales only) and gift card prizes will range from $25 to $100+   Players must be 18 years old, or younger if accompanied by a parent or guardian. See you there!

Donations will be accepted at the parish office Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm beginning June 20th.

 

You may also drop-off donations after the 8:00 am and 10:00 am Masses on June 24th or July 15th.

 

The deadline for accepting donations is July 23rd.

 

Also needed: Gently used baskets and pegboard.

Silent Auction Rules
  1. You must have a bid number to bid and you may bid on as many items as you wish. Bid sheets will be available next to the item with correlating numbers.
  2. On the bid sheet put your bid number and the amount you want to bid.
  3. Each item will have an opening bid written on the bid sheet and a minimum raise for each additional bid to be entered. You may raise the bid for more than the minimum raise, but not less.
  4. There will be Buy It Now options. This means you can pay and take the item with you immediately.
  5. Everything is sold “as is.” Please check items over carefully. No refunds, no exchanges.
  6. In case of a last minute “Bidding War” before closing, a private paper bid will be taken. The highest bidder wins.
  7. Bids will be accepted from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018, and from 10:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 5, 2018.
  8. By requesting this Bid number, you are agreeing to follow the Auction rules.
  9. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR ENTERED BID. BIDS MUST BE ADDED TO THE NEXT LINE OF THE BID SHEET IN ORDER TO RAISE A BID.
ALL BIDDING WILL CLOSE AT 3:30 ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 5TH Everyone must leave the Silent Auction area at 3:30 p.m. At 4:00 you may re-enter the Silent Auction area to pay for and pick up your items. Cash, credit cards or checks payable to St. John Neumann will be accepted. If at all possible please pick up your items Sunday by 5:00 p.m. as we do not have sufficient space to store items after the Summer Sizzle. If you cannot be there at the close of the auction, please contact the Parish Office. If we cannot reach you or you do not claim your item(s) in one week, the item will go to the next highest bidder.

Local Minnesota band “The Tone Cats” will be performing once again from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. The Tone Cats play a wide variety of classic rock and party music cover tunes that span decades from the early roots of 1950’s Rock and Roll through the 2000’s and 2010’s. Come enjoy popular classics from Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, Ray Charles, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, The Eagles, Billy Joel, John Cougar Mellencamp, Neil Diamond, and many, many, more.  

After nearly two decades of performing throughout the Twin Cities and Iowa, this weekend will be the final performance of The Tone Cats.
