JustFaith 2020-2021

Do you want to learn how to advocate for racial equity within your family, church, and community?

JustFaith Ministries has created a series of programs to help you reflect on past and present racial injustices. St. John Neumann (SJN) has enriched these programs with readings and videos that provide insight into how Catholic Social Teaching and racism are connected. These programs will create a safe space for having conversations about how power and privilege have contributed to racial inequity. Join us as we take a deep dive into the topics of power and privilege, the history of racism and the systems that perpetrate racism in our society today. As with all Just Faith programs you will hear the wisdom of community advocates and be given tools to help discern action steps for working toward an end to racism.

Programs in the series include:

September 2020 Faith and Racial Equity - Exploring Power and Privilege and a Catholic Perspective
January 2021 Faith and Racial Healing - Embracing Truth, Justice, and Restoration and a Catholic Perspective
Fall 2021 Faith and Racial Justice - Changing Systems and Structures and a Catholic Perspective

You can take one or all of the programs. SJN will be offering the first program (Faith and Racial Equity) in September of 2020 via Zoom. Program two will be offered in January of 2021. The third program is planned for the Fall of 2021.
